  1. My son was diagnosed with Gilbert syndrome in the 80s. He’s now 46 and although he has never had obvious symptoms, at present he’s complaining of joint pain. Do I tell him there could there be a connection or this is it old age 😂 Reading your site I think it’s probably the latter!!

    1. Hi Laura, firstly it’s important for me to say that I’m not a medically qualified doctor and can’t give medical advice. I’m sorry to hear your son is in pain. Joint pain is a symptom of many conditions. For example, as well as Gilbert’s Syndrome I have joint hypermobility which results in joint pain throughout my body. Without further investigation it’s impossible for me to say what his joint pain may be due to, and that is something I would suggest going to see a Dr about. I do hope that he gets the help he needs.
